SUMMARY: Walk Around the UC Davis Arboretum and Davis Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION: Join us for a walk around the UC Davis Arboretum ending at the Davis Farmers Market! Saturday, May 3rdMeet at 10:00 for the walk Meet at 11:30 (approx) at the Davis Farmers Market  We're leading a leisurely walk around the UC Davis Arboretum - the entire walk is approximately 3 miles (1 - 1.5 hours) on a relatively flat, paved surface. (So that we have time to visit the market before it closes, we will do about 2 miles). There are a number of places to shorten the walk if you would like to walk a shorter route and then head up to the Farmers Market to wait for the rest of the group.  Afterward, bring a blanket or a lawn chair and we'll meet on the grass at Central Park for the Davis Farmers Market.  Food trucks and coffee are available to purchase as well as lots of fresh vegetables, bakery treats, and other goodies. There are bathrooms and a playground for children at the Farmers Market. Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. Bring a bag for shopping and a blanket or lawn chair if you'd like to hang out at the Farmers Market afterward. Parking is free at UC Davis on Saturday - Park in UCD Parking Lot 10 (corner of First Street and Old Davis Rd) and we'll meet by the bridge over the Arboretum trail (see map). From there we'll walk east and around in a clockwise direction. Bring your friends and family! Dogs on leash are welcome on the arboretum trail and in the park but NOT at the farmers market. Please plan accordingly.
