DESCRIPTION: Join local the San Gabriel Valley Cal Alumni Club as we gather to support Fair Oaks Burger.&nbsp; Fair Oaks Burger has been active in the Eaton Fire recovery:Free MealsIn partnership with the nonprofit World Central Kitchen, Fair Oaks Burger grilled up free meals Wednesdays through Fridays for anyone in Altadena who needed one. LThey started cooking at 10:30 a.m. and people were already lining up, and by 1:30 p.m. they were completely out of burgers.&nbsp;Community Hub &amp; ResourcesThe restaurant became one of the few surviving structures on its block and served displaced residents and first responders in the parking lot. They also held wellness events, giveaways, and worked to connect those in need with services and resources.&nbsp;"Altadena Not For Sale" RallyFair Oaks Burger hosted an "Altadena Not For Sale" rally where hundreds gathered to push back against outside buyers targeting fire victims. At the event, Fair Oaks Burger, local community organization My Tribe Rise, and the AIDS Health Foundation provided fresh produce, hot meals, free clothing, and other supplies, serving over 400 families.&nbsp;Weekly "We Out Here" Mutual Aid MarketplaceThe Fair Oaks Burger parking lot became the host site for "We Out Here Altadena," a weekly mutual aid marketplace that has run every Wednesday for over a year. What started as one woman's response to disaster blossomed into one of Altadena's most consistent support systems.&nbsp;Reopening &amp; Ongoing SupportAfter nearly five months closed, Fair Oaks Burger reopened and quickly became the new town square of Altadena &mdash; a gathering place, bulletin board, staging ground, and comfort station.&nbsp; The restaurant also takes catering orders from the Collaboratory, a centralized hub for long-term fire recovery.&nbsp;One-Year Anniversary EventIn January 2026, Altadena community members gathered in the Fair Oaks Burger parking lot for a remembrance of the Eaton Fire.
