Ring in the fall with a hike into Boulder's glorious Flatirons with your fellow Golden Bears. We will meet on Saturday, September 28th at 8:00 AM at the NCAR trail head parking lot. The address is 1850 Table Mesa Dr, Boulder, CO 80305. Look for the Cal gear to find us!
We will have three hiking options available:
Mallory Cave (2 miles) and the NCAR grounds/exhibits
NCAR - Chautauqua via the Mesa Trail (2.5 miles one-way)--this is where Peter Beck ('89) has seen the most bears
Bear Peak!!! A nine-mile loop that will gain almost 3,000'. This is a steep one, but the views from Bear's iconic summit are spectacular.

After hike lunch options: NCAR and Chautauqua are both perfect for picnics. Chautauqua has a restaurant and ice cream store. For those staying near NCAR, Southern Sun Brewpub is nearby and features one of the best burgers in Boulder and a wide range of excellent beers.
