Join your fellow Golden Bears for a unique opportunity to learn about the historic Kassler Treatment Plant before hiking the beautiful Waterton Canyon Trail. Denver Water Recreation Rangers will provide a private tour of Kassler, named a national water landmark in 1979, and the town that was built around it. After our tour, we'll hike Waterton Canyon which is a 6.2-mile out-and-back trail (12.4 miles total) to Strontia Springs Dam. This kid-friendly hike is flat but exposed so bring plenty of water and sunscreen! Feel free to join us for the whole hike or just a portion of it.
Meet us at the Waterton Canyon parking lot at 8 AM on Saturday, July 16. We'll have Cal posters and streamers on a car!
Please bring your own water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, and other gear that will help you have a fun and comfortable hike.
