Calling all Greater Sacramento-area Cal alumni! Join us for a Golden Bear Hike to Lake Clementine in Auburn, CA. This scenic 4.5-mile round-trip trail follows the North Fork of the American River and leads to the stunning Lake Clementine Dam, where you’ll experience a breathtaking waterfall. 

Hike Details

Date: Saturday, April 26th

Time: 8:15 meet. 8:30 am hike start.

Meeting Location: Lake Clementine Trailhead, Auburn, CA

Difficulty: Moderate (4.5 mile return, ~ 500 feet elevation gain)

Estimated Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours

Hike lead: Mariah Hudler

Parking & Fees

Parking Location: Auburn State Recreation Area - Lake Clementine Trailhead. Parking can get filled up, but there is additional parking along the canyon. Make sure to arrive in time to complete the parking fee. Carpooling is encouraged. 

Fee: $10 per vehicle (cash or card at the self-pay station or use Poppy Pass)

 

Post-Hike Lunch at Katrina’s Café (if you want to continue the fun!)

After soaking in the beauty of the dam, we’ll head to Katrina’s Café, a local favorite known for its hearty breakfast and lunch options. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow Cal alumni, share hiking stories, and enjoy a well-earned meal!

Time: - 11:30 am (may be a few minutes wait to seat our group)

  • Your blue & gold Cal gear!
